Collection: Microscope Resolution Comparison

This tool allows us to compare theoretical camera resolutions based on microscope magnification.

The tool assumes no additional optical components are used and uses the equation Pixel Size/Mag*2.3 = camera resolution.

This is not the optical resolution; the resolution of your microscope objective also needs to be considered and this is a function of its Numerical aperture. To calculate this, we recommend using the equation 1.22 * wavelength in nm / 2* Numerical Aperture.
